The Richardson Letter
In the year 1993, citizens
of the city Taos, New Mexico, contacted their congressman Bill Richardson concerning
the mysterious hum. He wrote a
letter to the Secretary of Defense Les Aspin where he - among other things - designated
quietly flying military helicopters or a military research facility on Kirtland
Air Force Base, New Mexico, as possible causes for the noise. The research facility is called HERTF
(High Energy Research and Technology Facility) and serves as transmitter for microwave,
plasma and high energy pulse waves. Shortly after this correspondence the
political activities broke off suddenly, all authorities denied the bare
existence of the Taos Hum from now.
